This is my prediction how the NFL Draft will play out, not how I would draft for each team.
***(updated April 10th)***
1. Arizona Cardinals Kyler Murray, QB, Oklahoma
Kyler Murray in Kliff Kingsbury's offensive system would be nothing short of spectacular to watch. The Cardinals have clearly not been quiet on showing their infatuation with Murray. Josh Rosen clearly does not fit Kingsbury's offensive system as well as Murray, and if the Cardinals think Kyler is clearly better than Rosen why not draft him?
2. San Francisco 49ers Nick Bosa, DE, Ohio State
The 49ers have struggled for years to find a consistent pass rusher. They have plenty of talent of the defensive line, but struggle to get to the quarterback. I think John Lynch can't pass up on the consensus number one overall prospect and he decides to add to one of the most talented young defensive lines in the NFL.
3. Washington Redskins (projected trade with Jets) Dwayne Haskins, QB, Ohio State
There is no way that Redskins-GM Dan Snyder who cares more about ticket sales rather than production on the field roles out Case Keenum as his starting quarterback next season. When teams draft quarterbacks they almost always trade up, and the Jets have made it clear that they are more than willing to trade down. I think the Redskins find their QB of the future with the Dwayne Haskins.
4. Oakland Raiders Quinnen Williams, DT, Alabama
This would be a great scenario for John Gruden and the Raiders. Oakland needs all the help they can get and Quinnen Williams is franchise changing prospects. I think the Raiders decide to get their defensive franchise cornerstone and add the 6'3" 303 pound behemoth.
5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Devin White, ILB, LSU
The Buccaneers badly need a replacement for inside linebacker Kwon Alexander, who they recently lost in free agency. Bruce Arians did acquire former Cardinals linebacker Deone Bucannon in their own free agency, but I think Devin White's talent will be way too valuable for Tampa Bay to pass up.
6. New York Giants Josh Allen, OLB, Kentucky
The Giants and GM Dave Gettleman have made it public that they intend to draft a pass rusher with their first, first round pick. They also recently traded away their best pass rusher Olivier Vernon. So I can see New York taking a perfect replacement for Vernon, Josh Allen who has a very similar skill set to Vernon.
7. Jacksonville Jaguars T.J. Hockenson, TE, Iowa
The Jaguars obviously recently signed quarterback Nick Foles, and moved on from Blake Bortles. Now Jacksonville badly... I mean badly has a need weapons for Foles, and tight end might be the biggest need. They currently have tight ends James O'Shaughnessy, Ben Koyack, and Geoff Swaim. So I think the Jaguars would be more than happy to select Hockenson.
8. Atlanta Falcons (projected trade with Lions) Ed Oliver, DT, Houston
There have been rumors that the Falcons are looking to trade up and select a defensive player. I think the Lions would be more than willing to trade down and acquire more draft capital. Falcons head coach Dan Quinn has had a trend of taking freak defensive athletes with Vic Beasley Jr, Deion Jones, and Keanu Neal. And Ed Oliver definitely follows the freak athlete trend.
9. Buffalo Bills D.K. Metcalf, WR, Ole Miss
The Bills added wide receivers Cole Beasley and John Brown in free agency in free agency, but I think they still want some more weapons for Josh Allen. D.K. Metcalf is viewed by many as the number one weapon in this draft class, so I can see Buffalo adding to their underrated offense with Metcalf.
10. Denver Broncos Deandre Baker, CB, Georgia
It has came out that John Elway and the Broncos front office will not take their quarterback of the future in this draft class, and they will role with Joe Flacco for next season. All-Pro cornerback Chris Harris Jr has recently demanded a trade or new contract, so Denver is in need of a new cornerback. I think Baker is one of the best in this class and would be a great replacement for Chris Harris.
11. Cincinnati Bengals Devin Bush Jr, LB, Michigan
The Bengals have a glaring need for an inside linebacker after finally cutting ties with Vontaze Burfict. I think the Bengals will gladly select a much more level headed middle linebacker, and get their future tackling machine, Devin Bush Jr.
12. Green Bay Packers N'Keal Harry, WR, Arizona State
The Packers really took care of their defensive needs during free agency with, Z'Darius Smith, and Adrian Amos, so I think Green Bay tries to surround Aaron Rodgers with some more weapons. N'Keal Harry is viewed by many as one of the top receivers in this class, and I could see him fitting very well into the Packers system.
13. New York Giants (projected trade with Dolphins) Daniel Jones, QB, Duke
Like I've said, teams almost ALWAYS trade up to select their quarterback. I think the Giants, after selecting a pass rusher with their first round pick, decide to get a quarterback that could really learn behind Eli Manning for a season. Although I think this would be a tremendous reach I think the Giants decide to take their quarterback of the future Daniel Jones.
14. Detroit Lions (projected trade with Falcons) Noah Fant, TE, Iowa
The Lions added to their defense in free agency, so I think they will decide to add to the offense. The Lions badly need weapons after loosing Golden Tate last season, and they especially need tight end. Noah Fant is viewed as one of the best tight ends in this class and I think they decide to get Matthew Stafford another weapon.
15. New York Jets (projected trade with Redskins) Jawaan Taylor, OT, Florida
After the Jets decide to trade down, I think they try to find some protection for Sam Darnold, and newly acquired running back Le'Veon Bell. After adding their weapons in free agency, I think the Jets decide to select Jawaan Taylor. Taylor would almost be a day one starter for the Jets and make their offense look very underrated for next season.
16. Carolina Panthers Rashan Gary, DL, Michigan
The Panthers clearly have a need for pass-rusher now that Julius Peppers has officially retired. Gary and Peppers have a very similar skill set, Gary's potential and value will be too much for the Panthers too pass up, and they will decide to add one of the best athletes in this entire class.
With the signing of Ryan Fitzpatrick along with the trading of Ryan Tanehill, shows that the Dolphins are committed to drafting their quarterback of the future NEXT season. With a young quarterback having a good offensive line would certainly help their development. I think the Dolphins go with the best player available, and Jonah Williams would step in and contribute right away.
18. Minnesota Vikings Cody Ford, OG, Oklahoma
The Vikings badly need offensive line help. I think Mike Zimmer will finally hold back the urge to take a cornerback in the first round and select Cody Ford. Ford would be a very safe pick for the Vikings, and could play tackle or guard for them, and do it very well. Hopefully this move could lead to Kirk Cousins being more productive next season.
19. Tennessee Titans Christian Wilkins, DL, Clemson
Titans head coach Mike Vrabel, would love to add more defensive help and especially defensive line help. The Titans do have a need for D-Linemen, and a pairing of Christian Wilkins, and Jurrell Casey would become a very scary duo.
For some reason it seems like the majority of the NFL is not very high on Marquise Brown. He was incredibly productive at Oklahoma last season, as well as being one of the fastest players in this class, as well as arguably the best route runner. His foot fracture obviously has not helped his draft stock. I see the Steelers finding Antonio Brown's replacement, and select his cousin Marquise Brown.
21. Seattle Seahawks Brian Burns, EDGE, Florida State
With the trade of Frank Clark Seattle badly has a need for more pass rushing. Brian Burns has improved his draft stock dramatically during the "pre-draft" process, and has put his name along with the top defensive players in this class. I think the Seahawks wont pass up on Burns' value and they create a dominant pairing of Brian Burns, and Frank Clark.
22. Baltimore Ravens Clelin Ferrell, DE, Clemson
The Ravens defense has went through quite the transformation this offseason. They have lost Z'Darius Smith, Terrell Suggs, and Eric Weddle. They have already found Weddle's replacement with the signing of Earl Thomas. So now they clearly need some pass-rushing help, so I think they decide to go with Clelin Ferrell to fill that void.
23. Houston Texans Andre Dillard, OT, Washington State
There is almost a zero percent chance that the Texans do not get offensive line help at some point of this draft. They badly have a need to protect Deshaun Watson, after being banged-up for far too often early in his career. Andre Dillard is the best pass-blocking offensive lineman in this class, so it would almost be a perfect fit with Houston.
24. Oakland Raiders Montez Sweat, DE, Mississippi State
Last season Jon Gruden decided to draft Maurice Hurst, even though he had a well known heart condition, and it worked out pretty well for him. Montez Sweat has also been diagnosed with a heart condition although it is not to the same extent. I think Gruden decides to do the same thing and fill their desperate pass rushing need and select Sweat.
25. Philadelphia Eagles Byron Murphy, CB, Washington
The Eagles clearly needed some cornerback help late in the season last year, with almost their secondary injured. They did retain Ronald Darby in free agency, but they still clearly need some more help. Byron Murphy's value at this point of the draft would too much for the Eagles to pass up.
26. Indianapolis Colts Johnathan Abram, SS, Mississippi State
The Colts will most likely go defense, heavily in this years draft, and they could almost go with any position. They do already have Malik Hooker, who plays more of a free safety position, but a combo of Johnathan Abram and Hooker on the back-end would be very fun too watch next season. The "Hard-Hitting" Abram and "Ball-Hawking" Hooker would be one of the best safety combos in the league.
27. Oakland Raiders Josh Jacobs, RB, Alabama
The Raiders have a clear need for fresh legs at the running back position. With Jalen Richard and Isaiah Crowell as the only running backs on the roster. After Marshawn Lynch just announced his retirement. Jacobs is almost the consensus top running back prospect in this class, I can see John Gruden getting their running back of the future, although I think any running back in this class being selected in the first round would be a tremendous reach.
28. Los Angeles Chargers Dexter Lawrence, DT, Clemson
The Chargers seem to always be looking for more run defense, and it may be their only need on their entire roster. Dexter Lawrence may be the best run stopper in the entire draft with his massive frame of 6'4" 342 pounds, and Lawrence may "complete" their roster for a Super Bowl run next season.
29. Seattle Seahawks Chris Lindstrom, OG, Boston College
It always seems like the Seahawks are in need of offensive line help. They especially need interior offensive line help, and Lindstrom is one of the best guards in the draft. With their newly acquired pick I think the Seahawks find more protection for their $140 million dollar QB Russell Wilson.
30. Green Bay Packers Greg Little, OT, Ole Miss
After adding an offensive weapon with their first pick, I think the Packers try to find their long-term replacement for Bryan Bulaga. I think Greg Little would fit that role perfectly. He has all the tools to be a starting tackle in the NFL... he just needs some fine tuning
31. Los Angeles Rams Garrett Bradbury, C, NC State
The Rams have shown that they have one of the most complete rosters in the league. Starting center John Sullivan recently announced his retirement, and guard Rodger Saffold left in free agency. Without much depth on the offensive line, I can see the Rams taking one of the best interior line prospects in this class, Garrett Bradbury.
Teams love to trade up to the end of the first round to get an inexpensive quarterback with a 5th year option. I don't think there is a team more willing to trade down than the Patriots. New Bengals head coach Zac Taylor, left the Rams coaching staff, so I could see him following the same model and getting their "Jared Goff", with Drew Lock.
